Be2camp East

Inspired by previous Be2camp events, Be2camp East was held at Essex County Cricket Club in Chelmsford, Essex, on the afternoon of Thursday 29 April 2010.

Building on the success of SMWBe2camp, this half-day event also aimed to help people understand more about Web 2.0 applications for people working in the built environment, from architects to property people to construction marketeers.

Venue: Essex County Cricket Ground-Pavilion Suite

It was held in the Pavilion at Essex CCC. The room is large enough for 100, has excellent Wifi (once we got it working!), a bar a view of the cricket pitch, and parking and is just a short walk from the main railway station in central Chelmsford. Click here for map, directions and Google map from the Essex CCC website, or check out the Google map.

Our Charity Appeal

Be2CampEast is supporting the EACH Treehouse charity appeal, which is attempting to raise £3 million before Christmas 2010 to build a hospice for life-threatened children in Essex and Suffolk. A speaker from the project spoke at Be2campEast, and if you would like to donate to the hospice, just click on the picture- it will take you though to the official page for donations.

Just added a Google Map to the page. The Cricket Ground is about 15 minutes walk from the station via Victoria Road South and Parkway - access it from New Writtle Street.

Hi James
thanks for adding your picture, always nice to put a face to a name :-)
Re speaking, as this is property and social media, we would like to keep to the topics. We are now taking bookings for the second event in May.

Speakers are not allowed to 'sell' to the audience and our speakers are mostly quick fire 7 minutes. Sponsors are given more time of course but the topics for all must be in or around social media/property.

We like the events to be fun and interactive with questions and answers as part of the event. The emphasis is on sharing info and collaboration. Please send me an email if you would like more info.
Thanks for your interest in our next event

I would like to speak at Be2Campeast. I am a motivational Speaker, Who teaches people to use Visualisation and goal setting to achieve their purposes. Although not directly related tp the event theme, my spot will enthuse others others to do their own thing much better.

Hello, I wonder if I may speak at this event. My company Estates Today Ltd has been developing web based software for the commercial real estate market since 1995. Credentials are at

I'd like to speak about our Glasnost 21 collaboration software - It combines Project, Image and Contact Management but most relevant in this context is the way that live Twitter searching, Google Blogs and Google News is built directly into the Contact management service. So if you are just about to call someone, for instance, you can see right there alongside their contact details a wide range of real time social media sourced information relevant to that contact.

As well as this subscribers to either the Metropolis Movers or property research services also can feed live data straight into their CRM.

I'd be more than happy to give someone a demo and discuss whether you think it would be of interest to you guests.

Please let me know at or twitter me @antonyslumbers

Thank you
