- 15 May 2009 - Be2camp North was
held at FACT in Liverpool, organised by Paul, Martin
and Adrian McEwen, was our second unconference focused on Web 2.0
and the built environment.
- 16 June 2009 - Be2party! was a
Be2camp Tweet-up held in various locations (London, Preston,
Tuscan AZ, etc), marking the first birthday of Be2camp: the world's
first online community dedicated to Web 2.0 and the built
- 12 August 2009 - Be2camp
Brum was held in Birmingham, organised by Lorna Parsons, Rob
Annable and Soulla Stylianou (with support, as ever, from Paul and
Martin), taking Be2camp to England's second city.
- 7-8 October 2009 - Be2camp@WorkingBuildings2009,
organised by Paul and Martin, was run over two days at London's
Olympia exhibition halls, in parallel with UBM's three
WorkingBuildings shows: Energy Solutions Expo, M&E: The
Building Services Event, and Total Workplace Management: the FM
& Estates Event.
- 27 October 2009 - the Be2camp community supported the
RIBA's Stakeholder event, RIBAforum09, in London on the theme of Web
- 1 February 2010 - SMWBe2camp in
London was a Built Environment 'unseminar'
contribution to Social Media Week (1st-5th February), focused on
the Web 2.0 and the property/real estate sector (and we did a
tweet-up two days later).
- On World Water
Day, 22 March 2010 - focused on water quality, ecosystems
and human well-being - the UNESCO Centre for Water
Law, Policy and Science at the University of
Dundee hosted an interactive online event
focused on Hydrology, Environment, Life and Policy (HELP)
river basins in Scotland, supported by Be2camp.
- Be2camp at BIFM10 on
13 April 2010 was an afternoon fringe event at the
annual conference of the British Institute of Facilities
Managers (BIFM) in London.
- 29 April 2010 - The first Be2camp
East stimulated a second one, on 24 June 2010, both held in
Chelmsford, Essex, helping people understand more
about Web 2.0 applications for professionals working (mainly) in
the property sector. Inbetween, Be2camp ran another half-day event
- 12 August 2010 - Be2camp Brum
2010, an 'unconference' about social media, digital tools and
the built environment, was held at the Central Library,
Birmingham, attracting over 100
- 30 November 2010 - BED10, a half-day Be2camp event focused on education
and the built environment in snowy London
- 9 February 2011 - the inaugural Be2Awards (the world's first social
media awards for the built environment) in
London during London Social Media Week.
