This Be2camp unconference event was run over two days at London's Olympia exhibition halls on 7-8 October 2009, and was held in parallel with UBM's three WorkingBuildings shows:


This unconference was divided into four themed participative sessions (with a social event in the middle):

  • Wednesday 7 October 2009: 10am-1pm - Web 2.0 and FM - how Web 2.0 can support new ways of working in facilities management, health and safety, security, occupier/user feedback, etc
  • Wednesday 7 October 2009: 1.45pm-4.45pm - Web 2.0 and sharing AEC data - from collaboration and building information modelling to applications for sharing energy usage data
  • Wednesday 7 October 2009: 5pm - The Be2camp@WorkingBuildings2009 Tweet-up - Cumberland Arms, 29 North End Road, London W14 8SZ
  • Thursday 8 October 2009: 10am-1pm - Web 2.0 for communication - using Web 2.0 in PR and marketing, for recruitment, for training, etc
  • Thursday 8 October 2009: 1.30pm-3.45pm - Web 2.0 and location-related data - Building applications that share location data, from Google Maps to Open Street Map, inside buildings, across cities, continents, even virtual worlds!

From an interest point of view the 8th is great, alas I cannot do the 8th! However I will go on the 7th and see if I can't attend both sessions as a 'fly on the wall' to get a feel for it all? It would have been good to speak but maybe next time.

The event is during my induction week at Laing O'Rourke Head Office, so I can't make this but if there are any evening activities in London someone tweet it and I'll try and get into town.
