GetBIM

Following a series of successful online thinkBIM events, Leeds Metropolitan University's Centre for Knowledge Exchange decided to take the BIM (building information modelling) conversation global. On 14 December 2011, the Old Broadcasting House in Leeds hosted a web-enabled GetBIM event.

Delegates attended to:

discover the lessons learnt on 4D and 5D planning and scheduling from the CEO of VICO in the USA .
understand the Business benefits of BIM Adoption.
participate in two hands-on expert roundtables of their choice on: BIM to Field, 4D 5D BIM, Project Insurance, and/or Integrated Design.
experience a lively Pecha Kucha presentation showcase covering different aspects of BIM (BIM and refurb, Laser scanning, BIM Academy, BIM 4D)

The event was blogged and discussed live across social media to encourage perspectives from international individuals and organisations that could not attend in person - helping give Leeds businesses a wider business vision.
