GVis Retrofit Reality

Taking the Retrofit discussion global and building on the success of the last GVis event in July, Be2camp supported a web-enabled Retrofitting Buildings event hosted by Leeds Metropolitan's Centre for Knowledge Exchange.

Delegates were expected to:

discover lessons learnt on the Empire States Building Retrofit Project and learn several key lessons for the retrofit of large multi-tenant commercial office buildings.
understand the Business opportunities of the UK Retrofit Market.
participate in two hands-on expert roundtables of their choice - on Occupant behaviour, Low Carbon Workplaces, The Green Deal, or the Leeds Metropolitan Estates Retrofit project.
experience a lively Pecha Kucha presentation showcase* covering different aspects of Retrofitting (Historical Buildings, Renewable technologies, case studies).

The event was blogged and discussed live across social media to encourage perspectives from international individuals and organisations that were unable to attend in person, to give Leeds businesses a wider business vision. The hashtag for the event was/is #GVis2011.
