ThinkBIM: O&M

thinkBIM on 10 July 2013 was hosted by the excellent Dr. Stephen Hamil, Director of Design and Innovation and Head of Building Information Modelling at NBS.

Deborah Rowland returned from the Cabinet Office to deliver our UK Keynote Speech on the Government Soft Landings programme and an update on PAS1192 part3.

Alongside Deborah we heard from Reid Cunningham, Strategic Development Director, BAM FM.

As well as these excellent keynote speakers we had the usual interactive and informative roundtable sessions, the fast and punchy Pecha Kucha sessions - followed by a Summer BBQ and networking.

Delegates:

  • got an update on The Government Softlandings and PAS1192 (part 3)
  • got an understanding of the data requirements for the operation and maintenance cycle of a building.
  • participated in two hands-on workshops on BIM Post Occupancy Evaluation, BIM for FM, BIM Data Legal workshop.
  • Met other like-minded BIM users and share valuable lessons learnt in an open exchange environment.
  • Experienced a lively Pecha Kucha showcase covering different aspects of BIM Operation and Maintenance.

And 4Projects hosted a BIM BBQ for all attendees - the perfect way to network after our informative event, and a chance to both explore further and debate the findings from the afternoon whilst filling up on some of the best food and real ale Leeds has to offer!
