About Me
I champion simple no-nonsense ways of engaging people by connecting, collaborating and communicating both on-line and at events.

I believe it is vital for people to meet off line as well as on line and I strive to make this happen for business and pleasure.

You will often find me at the centre of some random Meet Up, un-conference or other stunt.
What gets me there is finding ways to get other people to meet and connect.

In the communities that I participate the people that show up get the gold because they get to meet each other - that is the gold.
The people that show up when they want something…. well you know the rest.
For me ROI = return on involvement and I will stick by that.

Elsewhere on-line my bio reads like this this….

Blogger, New Dorker, Conversation Architect & Purveyor of Community in London & Europe. I Love People, Macchiato, Argentina, Kafka & Super Cool Wife! You in?

How do you demand innovation & creativity & radical rethink if you can't imagine it?" Avinash…

Madonna, John Ruskin and Intent

Average people see customer service as a way to pay the bills. The best see it at a means to improve the world.

Last year I was in a dull hotel in the UK, only made duller by the business conference that I was attending. While the hotel claimed to be an “experience” it was a “facility” and felt as if a group of ‘Dementor’s from Harry Potter were retained to keep it extra specially soulless.…

Over the years I have tried everything in the search to be more productive. I secretly always suspected that the "silver bullet" was just getting on with it  I have decided that less is more, No product is going to save your life and I would be…

Every so often I get a message in my LinkedIn inbox that that says ‘Can you endorse me?’ – My reaction is often that a little bit of me dies inside, you have spoilt the…
