Be2camp North, 15 May - volunteer to help, to speak, to participate

Preparations for Be2camp North, to be hold in Liverpool on 15 May 2009, are already under way (with a new section also added to the Be2camp website), but the success of the day is very much dependent on the knowledge, passion and energy of the people who take part - in other words, you.

Urban Agriculture for Lochee, Dundee?

Kate Treharne and I have a common interest – urban agriculture. My interest was borne of the UrbanBuzz/ University College London “ABUNDANCE” project in Brixton, part of the global Transition Towns approach to urban renewal pioneered in Latin America. During UrbanBuzz’s two year lifetime, I was the marketing coordinator of the initiative and I am pleased to include a YouTube video clip all about ABUNDANCE as part of this blog. Ecobuild feedback

At Ecobuild I attended a seminar on BIM at which fellow Be2camp member Rob Annable spoke, describing his efforts to incorporate BIM and social media into neighbourhood consultation processes. I have blogged about this on

If other Be2camp members went to EcoBuild, why not share your highlights, thoughts, ideas here?

Be2campNorth - Liverpool

Several Be2camp members were at EcoBuild in London yesterday and met at the end of a day in a nearby pub. From a brief conversation between myself, Martin Brown and Adrian McEwen, it looks like we will be holding another Be2camp event, this time in Liverpool. As soon as further details of the date, time and venue are confirmed, they will be posted on this site.
